QBMFX App and extension privacy
This policy covers the QPDF Creator Windows app and QPDF Tools Edge extension preview. Website advertising is described separately in our website privacy policy.

The packaged Windows app and Edge extension process the PDF and image files you explicitly choose or drop on your own device. They do not upload document contents, filenames or extracted text to QBMFX or another service. No analytics, ads, accounts, telemetry added by QBMFX, or third-party document processing APIs are included in these packages.
Selected files and generated PDFs are held in app memory for processing. Clear/cancel and closing the workspace release the app's references. Saved PDFs remain where you save them and are not automatically deleted. Device memory limits apply. App code does not deliberately retain source files in local storage. Theme preference is stored locally. Windows WebView2/browser platform caches and diagnostic behaviour are governed by Microsoft and your operating-system settings; the app does not override the platform's own privacy controls.
The Edge extension requests no permissions or host access. It opens its own packaged workspace and does not read webpage content, your current tab, browsing history or cookies. File access is through your explicit file selection or drag-and-drop.
The Windows app runs as a packaged or portable desktop process with local file selection and user-initiated downloads. It does not scan folders, change system settings or run a background service. The WebView2 runtime must be installed. Its app-specific profile is stored under the current user's local application data folder.
Online privacy, support and website links open the normal browser only when selected. The qbmfx.com website has its own advertising/consent policy; those website ads are not embedded in the local app or extension. If you contact support by email, you decide what to send. Do not send confidential documents unless separately agreed.
No user-generated review or file data is collected by the app. There is no cloud account to delete. Remove locally saved PDFs yourself and uninstall the package to remove the application. Browser extension removal is managed in edge://extensions; a portable Windows preview folder and its app profile may need to be removed manually.
