Sign PDF with a drawn or image signature guide
Place a drawn signature or uploaded signature image into a PDF at a chosen location. Keep the signature private, review the document before signing and inspect the saved placement. This creates a visible mark on the page; it does not issue a certificate, verify identity or create a cryptographic digital signature. Book centers, freelancers and developers can use this free local workspace without a login or paid conversion API. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded result.
Before you start
Keep an unchanged copy of the original images. Use a clear file name and check that the selected files belong to this job. A sharp, evenly lit image preserves more usable detail than a heavily blurred or cropped photo.
Work on a device with enough free memory for the job. A small sample is a useful first check, especially on a phone or when the source contains many pages or high-resolution photographs. Keep other large processing tabs closed while generating the result.
Steps and settings
- Choose the PDF and draw or upload a signature image.
- Select pages and set the signature position and size.
- Create the signed copy and inspect its appearance.
Use the settings shown in the workspace for this task. Recheck the file order and measurements before starting. If you change an input or setting after a result is generated, create a fresh output so the downloaded file matches the choices currently displayed.
Processing details
The supplied signature image is embedded into selected pages as visible document artwork. Its size and position are based on the displayed page coordinates.
Result checks
- Open the actual downloaded result and compare it with the source or entered details.
- Check the first and final pages, ordering, borders and any fine text, numbers or stamps.
- Print a single test sheet before a large job. Choose actual size or 100% when physical measurements matter.
- Keep the original input until the customer or intended reader has accepted the result.
Practical limits
A visible signature image is not certificate-based signing or a guarantee of legal acceptance. Existing cryptographic signatures can be invalidated by any document change.
A PDF edit can invalidate an existing digital signature. Image-based PDF output can remove selectable text, interactive fields and links. Use the original when its editable or interactive features must be preserved.
Offline preparation and app availability
Prepare the website resources from Help while the connection is available and wait for the ready status. Tools that use OCR or a Nastaliq font require an additional optional resource download. HEIC decoding is included in the main website resource pack. Test the required workflow after disabling the connection; browser storage can be cleared or evicted later.
Adding the site to a phone’s Home Screen creates convenient access and does not itself prepare every resource. The existing Microsoft Store app and Edge extension contain the original four PDF tools. This expanded website tool needs a separate installed-package release before it appears in those apps.

Signature privacy
Signature data stays in this browser workflow. Avoid sharing a signature image unnecessarily and keep the original unsigned document.
Price and accounts
This website workflow is free without a login, subscription or paid conversion tier. Your browser supplies the processing memory and CPU.
Local file handling
Selected documents and generated results are processed on your device. QBMFX does not upload them to a conversion server or save them in a customer database. Hosting, advertising and opening external links are separate network activity.
Offline preparation
Prepare the supported website resources while connected, wait for the ready status and test the workflow before disconnecting. OCR, advanced PDF processing or fonts can need an additional local resource pack. Browser cleanup can remove saved resources.
Installed app availability
The Microsoft Store app and Edge package currently contain the original four tools. Website additions require a separate installed-package release and do not update those packages automatically.
