Add hyperlinks to PDF
Add a clickable website, email or telephone link to a document. Select its target pages and visible rectangle, then check the link in a PDF viewer that supports link annotations. The destination is stored in the output PDF rather than contacted during file processing, so the document can still be prepared offline. Book centers, freelancers and developers can use this free local workspace without a login or paid conversion API. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded result.
Choose your files and review the settings.
Keep originals and inspect the result before printing. File changes clear previous downloads. Heavy image and OCR work can take longer on a phone.
Using Add hyperlinks to PDF
- Choose a PDF and enter the permitted destination.
- Select pages and the clickable link rectangle.
- Create the document and test the link in a suitable viewer.
Behind the result
A PDF link annotation associates the selected rectangular page area with an HTTP, HTTPS, mailto or telephone destination.
Free tools for everyday work
Book centers, photocopy shops, freelancers and developers can use this workspace without a paid plan or account. Files are processed locally. Prepare website resources from offline setup before disconnecting; Urdu/OCR also needs the separate pack above.
The Windows app currently includes the original four tools. The expanded tools are available on the website; app and extension updates will be separate releases.
Answers and practical details
Link appearance
A clickable rectangle does not automatically add explanatory visible text. Add a readable label when the reader needs one.
Price and accounts
This website workflow is free without a login, subscription or paid conversion tier. Your browser supplies the processing memory and CPU.
Local file handling
Selected documents and generated results are processed on your device. QBMFX does not upload them to a conversion server or save them in a customer database. Hosting, advertising and opening external links are separate network activity.
Offline preparation
Prepare the supported website resources while connected, wait for the ready status and test the workflow before disconnecting. OCR, advanced PDF processing or fonts can need an additional local resource pack. Browser cleanup can remove saved resources.
Installed app availability
The Microsoft Store app and Edge package currently contain the original four tools. Website additions require a separate installed-package release and do not update those packages automatically.
