Split PDF by bookmarks or blank pages
Separate a PDF into meaningful sections using its existing top-level bookmarks or blank scan separators. Select the appropriate mode and inspect the generated file boundaries. This helps divide scanned batches and bookmarked reports into customer documents while keeping the complete original available if a bookmark or faint separator was interpreted incorrectly. Book centers, freelancers and developers can use this free local workspace without a login or paid conversion API. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded result.
Choose your files and review the settings.
Keep originals and inspect the result before printing. File changes clear previous downloads. Heavy image and OCR work can take longer on a phone.
Using Split PDF by bookmarks or blank pages
- Choose a PDF and select bookmarks or blank-page mode.
- Review blank detection settings when using separators.
- Create the sections and inspect their page boundaries.
Behind the result
Bookmark mode uses local top-level outline destinations. Blank-page mode renders pages and measures visible ink to locate separators before copying the resulting ranges.
Free tools for everyday work
Book centers, photocopy shops, freelancers and developers can use this workspace without a paid plan or account. Files are processed locally. Prepare website resources from offline setup before disconnecting; Urdu/OCR also needs the separate pack above.
The Windows app currently includes the original four tools. The expanded tools are available on the website; app and extension updates will be separate releases.
Answers and practical details
Separator handling
Blank separators are omitted by default. Enable retention when they are part of the intended document and verify the reported ranges.
Price and accounts
This website workflow is free without a login, subscription or paid conversion tier. Your browser supplies the processing memory and CPU.
Local file handling
Selected documents and generated results are processed on your device. QBMFX does not upload them to a conversion server or save them in a customer database. Hosting, advertising and opening external links are separate network activity.
Offline preparation
Prepare the supported website resources while connected, wait for the ready status and test the workflow before disconnecting. OCR, advanced PDF processing or fonts can need an additional local resource pack. Browser cleanup can remove saved resources.
Installed app availability
The Microsoft Store app and Edge package currently contain the original four tools. Website additions require a separate installed-package release and do not update those packages automatically.
