Unlock PDF with a password
Create an unencrypted copy of a PDF you are authorized to open and modify. Enter its accepted password and inspect the saved document before use. This workflow is useful for your own archived documents or a customer-provided file with permission; it does not guess passwords or bypass a document owner’s access requirements. Book centers, freelancers and developers can use this free local workspace without a login or paid conversion API. Keep the original and inspect the downloaded result.
Choose your files and review the settings.
Keep originals and inspect the result before printing. File changes clear previous downloads. Heavy image and OCR work can take longer on a phone.

- Authenticate and save an unencrypted copy.
- Check the output and keep it in an appropriate location.
Behind the result
The local engine authenticates the supplied password before rewriting the document without opening-password encryption.
Free tools for everyday work
Book centers, photocopy shops, freelancers and developers can use this workspace without a paid plan or account. Files are processed locally. Prepare website resources from offline setup before disconnecting; Urdu/OCR also needs the separate pack above.
The Windows app currently includes the original four tools. The expanded tools are available on the website; app and extension updates will be separate releases.
Answers and practical details
Password recovery
This tool does not crack, guess or recover a forgotten password. Obtain the correct password from the document owner.
Price and accounts
This website workflow is free without a login, subscription or paid conversion tier. Your browser supplies the processing memory and CPU.
Local file handling
Selected documents and generated results are processed on your device. QBMFX does not upload them to a conversion server or save them in a customer database. Hosting, advertising and opening external links are separate network activity.
Offline preparation
Prepare the supported website resources while connected, wait for the ready status and test the workflow before disconnecting. OCR, advanced PDF processing or fonts can need an additional local resource pack. Browser cleanup can remove saved resources.
Installed app availability
The Microsoft Store app and Edge package currently contain the original four tools. Website additions require a separate installed-package release and do not update those packages automatically.
